Duration of Speaking Module
  • Speaking module is an oral interview between the candidate and an
    IELTS trained examiner.
  • the  interview is scheduled either before or ,after the other IELTS
    papers.
  • The interview lasts for approximately 11 to 14 minutes .
  • It is recorded on an audio cassette , for review in a reappeal and  also
    for IELTS examiner monitoring and standardization .
  • The examiner is a qualified teacher who has been trained as on IELTS
    examiner and approved by the British council or IDP Australia.

Tips for success in Speaking Exam
  • Speak clearly and audibly
  • For  Closed ended Questions,Complete your aswer with a Yes/No answer.
  • For open ended Question,Give a descriptive answer with a proper
    conclusion.
  • The speaking test assesses your abiity to communicate effectively in
    English .
  • There are 4 performance descriptors to which the examiner refers to
    determine the candidate's IELTS Band level ..
