Process of IELTS
How to apply, Prepare , Attend & Receive Results
STEP 1 :
- Decide the date of exam. You have to register a
minimum of 15 days in advance.The results will be published online 13 days after the exam. The receipt of TRF(Test Result Form) or Marksheet within 15 days after the exam.
- So an estimated 1 month is required for the whole
process of IELTS exam.
- You can choose from the list of exam dates released
by IELTS . The dates are different for different test centres. So choose the Date of exam and nearest test centre based on your convenience.

STEP 2:
- Apply for IELTS exam.
- There are 3 modes to apply for IELTS exam.You can
apply online , By Post to nearest test centre or register in person to the nearest test centre.
- Documents and Fees required for applying
- Valid Passport and a Photocopy . - 2 Passport size Photographs with your signature in its back. - IELTS Fees of $150 to $ 250 USD or equivalent based on country. Passport is the valid proof for your identity and passport number is the valid identification number for all your reference to the IELTS test centre. So ensure that passport is always with you during taking IELTS test.
- Receive the acknowledgement of payment through
your e-mail or from the test centre with date of exam and Exam centre.
- Date and test centre of speaking module is sent two
week in advance of your test date through SMS,E mail or a phone call.

STEP 3:
- Ensure you are carrying your passport ,
acknowledgement slip, Pencils, Pen and erazers with you always when attending the IELTS exam.Without it you will not be permitted to attend the test.
- Those who applied online,should carry 2 passport size
photographs with signature at the back and a photocopy of the valid passport.

STEP 4:
- After attending the IELTS exam,the results will be
published in websites of British Council , IDP:Australia or Authorised Centres after 13 working days.
- Within 15 working days you will be receiving the TRF
or marksheet through a local courier service.
- This IELTS Test result is valid for 2 years and no
limitation on number of IELTS Test taken.
