IELTS Exam : Listening Module

Duration of Listening Module

Listening is the first module in the IELTS Test and takes 30 minutes. It consists of
4 sections of increasing difficulty and there is a total of 40 questions to answer.

The candidate will be allowed to hear 4 sections of pre-recorded discussions and
has to answer questions.

The text is played once only. At the end of section 4 you will be given an extra 10
minutes to transfer your answers to the listening answer sheet so the listening test
will last 40 minutes in total.
