IELTS exam is not a test for testing your accuracy and correctness in English
language. It is an evaluation tool for measuring your English language skill set
where English grammar, pronunciation and accent is only a part of it. A

about the content and logical sequencing and your arguments? All you need
is proper and all round development of your skill in listening, reading, writing
and speaking.

For better preparation of IELTS exam , prepare a small and simple plan and
keep in mind a small plan should include sufficient time to develop all your
skills. In your training plan you can include your tuitions and contact classes.
It should be realistic and a stretched one. Display this plan in your bedroom
and track daily your adherence and progress in the sheet.

For preparation of study plan, many methods are available .You can prepare a
classroom time table chart or a time chart used for project management.
Best one is Gantt chart which is simple and easy to monitor. Gantt world
renowned charting technique for developed by Mr. Henry Gantt in 1931. This
chart is extensively used for project scheduling by project engineers.

As a word of caution, I advise you to make a good study plan chart and
adhere to it. Many start with a grandiose plan and gradually loose interest in
it. Make a simple one and follow it religiously. It will help you all lot in
aligning your studies towards your goal.

Steps to make study plan based on Gantt Chart

  1. Make a tabular column with time line on X axis and activities ( tasks)
    on Y axis.
  2. List down all the activities in Y axis as shown in the diagram below
    above.
  3. Fix the start and end date of your study plan. Fix the end date as a
    day before your IELTS exam.
  4. Color the columns based on plan to devote time for each activity. Give
    enough time to handle your weak areas.In this diagram, the weak area
    is speaking section.
  5. Tick mark as you complete each activity. Put cross mark if you didn't
    complete the task and cover it in next session.
  6. Review your plan though periodic sample test papers.
