IELTS Exam Remarking & Appealing Procedure
If you are not happy with the results or if you feel that your
results do not reflect your performance in the test.Then you
can apply for Remarking.The request for remarking is know
as Enquiry on Result (EoR).The whole procedure takes
6 to 8 weeks.
When to apply ?
Answer :
- All the documents relating to Enquiry on Result
(EoR) to reach the Examination units of British
Council within 6 weeks of the test date. So try to
apply within 4 weeks of the test date.
- When you apply Enquiry on Result (EoR),Your
results is temporarily frozen and cannot be used for
applying to any institution or university. Application
for extra TRF is invalid. So don't apply for extra TRF,
when you plan to apply Enquiry of Result (EoR)
- You have to apply through your original test
centre where you have attended the IELTS Exam.
- Filled in EoR Application Form (EoR) with complete
address details, postal code and telephone numbers.
- Original Test Report Form (TRF)
- Application fee of equivalent 60GBP for British
Council or 160 AUD for IDP:Australia centres. This
amount is same whether you ask for one part of the
test to be re-marked or all parts of the test.
Who will verify the answer sheets applied for re-
marking?
Answer: Test scripts/tapes will be re-marked by Senior
Examiners in Cambridge.
If your scores change after Enquiry on Request
(EoR)?
Answer:
- A new TRF will be issued to the candidate.
- A full refund will be made to the candidate within a
month of the new TRF being issued.
- If the scores do not change after the EOR then the
original TRF will be returned to the candidate.
Is it possible for further appeal?
Answer: There is no appeal after this re-mark. The
decision is final.
